What a blast we had at the 2024 Kalama Community Fair!
Our Opening Day included ceremonies conducted by VFW Post #10435 and other guests, fun free kids games in the afternoon, stories from the Kalama Public Library, a 4-H fashion show, the return of Nehemiah Brown, the Kalama Fair Queen Coronation, and Kid’s Chicken Chases all weekend.
Friday brought additional family fun with the Reptile Roadshow, a Funk Junkies concert, the 811 vs 911 softball game, adult pie diving and hot dog eating contests, our first-ever “Mullet, Beard & Mustache” competition, an exciting performance by 80’s band Arena Rock Gold, and more.
By the time Saturday rolled around, there was plenty of music and good times in the air with a Mini Cheer Camp performance, the Fireman’s Penny Pool Scramble, an appearance by Raeann Phillips, our big fair court raffle drawing, a show by the Josh Day Band, and other activities.
We have so many to thank for another successful year: Our proud sponsors (as seen on every page of this website), the Port of Kalama and the City of Kalama, the many vendors who joined us for three days, our hard-working fair board and other volunteers, Kalama High School’s cheer squad for running the fair gates, all of you who purchased fair court raffle tickets and made other purchases to support the fair, and everyone who came to Haydu Park this year.
We also want to thank DJ Kevin and Scott at M&M Productions for the music, announcing, and sound/lighting equipment during the Kalama Community Fair. You guys made our local event extra special!
Remember, our fair happens because we do it together. We need you to get involved by becoming part of this three-day annual event. As the fair grows, we can add more attractions and activities for fairgoers of all ages.
With your support, the Kalama Community Fair will flourish with fun, excitement, and education for years to come!
